History of Green Gables

Green Gables

The original Green Gables was built in 1969 when the area was so unspoiled that cars on the country roads were rarities.

In 1986, the property became Britannia Kennels where the owners raised Black Labrador Retrievers. One of their show dogs, Irish Gold won the Championship at a United States National Show for Black Labs.

When Anne and Wayne bought the house in 2001, they totally renovated it, adding a third storey to the two storey frame, hence the word "gables".

No longer a kennel, it is now a happy home for their three dogs and their guests.
